HÉLÈNE LENTIEZ
CERAMIST & FOUNDER
Formerly a fine art framer in a Parisian studio, Hélène Lentiez one day felt the call of another life — a deep urge to create objects that carry a soul. Drawn to the raw beauty of clay, she discovered a living, instinctive material that became her language. She began her journey under the guidance of Fabienne Gilles in Montreuil, then continued her training at Creamik, near Vannes. Following this inner calling, she left everything behind to settle in Brittany, where the landscapes, the light, and the quiet now nurture her work. Each piece, hand-built in stoneware and glazed by hand, emerges from a dialogue between precision and instinct, between control and surrender.

WHERE CRAFT MEETS VISION
Hélène Lentiez’s work draws inspiration from architecture, nature, and emotion. Influenced by Bauhaus and brutalism. Textiles, contrasts, and the interplay of materials shape her artistic language. Her signature piece, Cuubik, embodies this dialogue between precision and sensitivity, each gesture leaving a living trace of the encounter between hand and clay. Hélène Lentiez creates her own glazes from raw minerals and natural oxides, giving each piece its unique identity.
Each tone and texture arises from experimentation and a deep dialogue with the material. Working primarily with the slab-building technique, she shapes each piece entirely by hand. After high-temperature firing, the colors and surfaces reveal their depth — a final moment of discovery, when the clay unveils its secret…
